MATCH REPORT - HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS 0 BILLERICAY TOWN 0 RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION SATURDAY 3RD DECEMBER @ SCRALEY ROAD 3PM ATTENDANCE: 281.
MANAGERS: HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS - BRIAN STATHAM, BILLERICAY TOWN - JUSTIN EDINBURGH.

Billericay got a good away point against a strong Heybridge side and despite having a number of injuries. Conditions were difficult for both sides as it was a cold and wet afternoon in Heybridge, which meant a boggy pitch that was difficult to play good football on. David Collins forced ex-Chelmsford keeper Paul Nicholls in to action with a well struck free kick in the first half. Heybridge did have their chances as well. Another ex-Chelmsford player Kris Lee may have scored for Heybridge if it wasn't for a brilliant saving tackle from loanee Tarkan Mustafa.

Billericay's best chance came soon after. Tom Poole managed to get the ball after a slip by Cousins and he crossed to Warren Ryan whose shot beat Paul Nicholls only to agonisingly hit the post. Heybridge's only other real chance came from ex-Blue Neil Cousins, but Ricky Millard saved well. Late on Nathan Elder and Danny Hockton both went close, but in the end Billericay had to settle for a draw in a game that they probably just shaded.
