Billericay produced their best display to easily beat a poor Wealdstone side. Billericay had two players making their debut, Ricky Millard in goal and Tarkan Mustafa at right midfield. Billericay had to endure a somewhat frustrating first half as they failed to take the lead. Tom Poole went closest for Billericay forcing a good save from the Wealdstone keeper. Dave McSweeney's shoulder injury put a dampner on the display. Despite being body checked by a Wealdstone player the referee failed to act. Billericay took the lead through a Leon Hunter penalty after a handball. Billericay should have had a penalty in the 1st half, but nothing was given. Poole and Elder both went close again, but were stopped thanks to a post and a goal line clearance. Wealdstone's Richard Jolly missed a one on one with Millard, before Danny Hockton wrapped up the points after a clanger from Woods in the Wealdstone goal. Billericay fans will expect performances like this to continue. Billericay v Maldon this season has produced 7 goals in 2 games, so fans will be expecting a high scoring game. |
